Climate change is the impact of not acting in a holistic and integrated manner and is regarded as the most challenging development issue of this country for Indonesia, South East Asian Region and the rest of the world. Leaders of different sectors are challenged to develop a holistic perspective on climate change related issues and collaborate across organisations and sectors in finding innovative solutions. There is widespread consensus that leading transformation involves high uncertainty and courage. Networks of leaders nurturing each other in interpreting scientific information, as well as sharing a collective vision are needed to shape a better future.
Climate change requires new sets of skills, leadership competencies and organizational capabilities catalyzing social innovation, transformation at various levels of the society and collective leadership performance beyond traditional hierarchies and organizational boundaries. Our program provides space for connecting leaders, change agents, facilitators and scientists to jointly explore new possibilities of how to translate knowledge into collective action. Filmed and edited by Nanang Sujana for GIZ and CCROM-IPB.
