Saving Rivers for Lives

How do we live without clean water? Can you imagine what that would be like? Water is a source of life. All living organisms need water to survive. However Indonesia’s rivers are in critical condition: 75 % is heavily polluted, according to the 2013 River Water Quality Assessment conducted by the Ministry of Environment. Our active roles are required in river management program planning, implementation and monitoring.

A number of community groups are carrying out actions to express their concern on the condition of the rivers in their regions. Directed and edited by Een Irawan Putra, this video produced by IndowaterCop. Supported by Both ENDS, Yayasan Mitra Insani, Komunitas Peduli Ciliwung Bogor, Ecoton and Ecosystem Alliance.
