THE CREW

We are interested in the same values, not where do they come from. With diverse backgrounds and interests, we continue to grow and thrive

Faizal Abdul Aziz
Manager INFIS
"Faizal Abdul Azis joined INFIS in 2013. He had always been fascinated by nature since he was a child. He grew up watching Discovery Channel’s wildlife documentaries. His interest developed to the point where he chose the hiking club as his extracurricular activity in junior and high schools. This is the reason why he then pursued his study at IPB University’s Department of Biology before joining INFIS. He serves as a videographer at INFIS, where he directs, operates cameras, edits videos, and controls drones. Aside from working on other INFIS projects, he also participates in the Leuser Film project. Traveling to the filming locations is something he finds valuable while working with INFIS. During these trips, he is able to learn a lot of new lessons and interact with local informants. In addition, he also gets the opportunities to document the life in the wild that he thinks. He aspires to be a globally-known filmmaker."
Anwar Fachrudin

He also teaches extracurricular at schools in Batang District in his leisure time. According to Anwar, camera has led him on a journey of self-discovery. Through film production, he has met many people, from ordinary people to even the president himself. This experience offered him valuable lessons which he shared through his works. To him, a film is a medium to share concerns and questions on various issues and social phenomena around him. His current job requires him to continue learning new things and to be more progressive. He aims to be able to produce his first feature-length documentary in the future."
Agus Kusnadi
Videographer, Editor
"Agus Kusnadi joined INFIS in 2017 after graduating from a vocational high school in 2016 majoring multimedia. He interned for six months at INFIS before being hired as staff. Now he serves as a videographer and editor in the organisation. He hailed from Cianjur and was born on 17 August 1997; the same day Indonesia celebrated its 52nd Independence Day. He was eager to join INFIS because of his interest in photography and videography, particularly documentary. Joining INFIS gives him many interesting experiences, such as meeting people from different social statuses, cultures, and environments. Agus believes that it is vital to bring issues of saving the environment and natural resources to public’s attention. Therefore, in order to gain the deeper knowledge of the subject, he went to university to study forestry. His main tasks at INFIS include documenting Jakarta MRT and Sampoerna Kayoe projects, for which he was in charge of screenwriting, directing, and editing. He hopes to continue creating works that have meaningful and positive impacts on both human lives and environment."
